Divine Intervention Miracles

I looked up the word miracle (I am referring to them as divine intervention miracles) in the dictionary and found, "an event or action that apparently contradicts known scientific laws and is hence thought to be due to supernatural cause, esp. to an act of God -- or an act of God's divine intervention. The following are a few examples of these divine intervention miracles.

In the incredible power of prayer I describe in detail my first major dilemma -- whether I should seek a divorce from Alex. In 1959, I took a month trip back to New Jersey to sort things out. On the return trip, 1,200 miles before reaching Redondo Beach, the answer revealed itself. In front of me, I saw an image of a large white curtain swinging open to welcome me back to California and to the new life waiting for me there.

Two significant divine intervention miracles that I had came to me revelations related to my father. The first divine intervention miracle (Described in detail in chapter twenty-four of the Drawing From theWell) was the result of a dream I had in 1979, just two months prior to my father’s death. I was still in therapy with Dr. Morris Netherton and his interpretation propelled me to act. (After a series of questions asking Dad if he loved me he finally acknowledged that he did.) What is important to note is that I waited forty-nine years to hear dad say he loved me. The length of time is of little importance -- hearing him say the words at all were critical for my future development. I gave dad the opportunity to say what I can only guess he wanted to say for years. This healed both of us. It was a blessing to have heard those words. Once said, dad could also move on.

The second divine intervention miracle regarding my dad, or as I would describe as a divine intervention miracle, is detailed in chapter forty-three of my memoir, Drawing From the Well.
