In her second memoir, Drawing From the Well, Ruth Shults shares her personal journey of self discovery through the power of prayer.

Determined to heal her wounds from her past, Shults turned to unconventional methods of healing. Ruth's experience with past life therapy and holistic health treatments, ultimately led her to a deep an intimate connection of self.

In conjunction with these alternative methods of healing, Ruth continued to maintain her strong relationship with God through prayer. Throughout Drawing From the Well, Ruth shares how the power of prayer has brought divine intervention miracles into her life.

Being a two time cancer survivor had everything to do with her faith and her willingness to listen and trust in God. Believing so much in the power of prayer and the divine intervention miracles that come as a result of prayer, Ruth knew to be careful in what she asked for. Never did she ask for God to take away her cancer, she merely prayed sincerely for divine right action in the outcome of all situations.

Ruth believes that the journey to self discovery never really ends, it's an ongoing process.

Overcoming her personal demons and being a two time cancer survivor were enlightening milestones on her journey of self discovery.
